The ‘error iPhone registration sent in pending state‘ error message was generated, when an enterprise customer tried to register the iPhone4 to the MSS console.
This error occurs when there is no APNS certificate configured for the enterprise in the MSG. Additionally, the customer received a message stating that a SSL VPN certificate may be required.

The end-user did not have the APNS certificate attached to the device, which allows access to all other feature sets, apart from GPS/SSL VPN.
Whenever a customer wants to enable all available features for IOS, within the Junos Pulse Mobile Security Suite, they must purchase an APNS certificate. The APNS certificate will work on all devices that are within the specific enterprise located in the console. Without the APNS certificate, each device within this console will be limited to the GPS/SSL VPN feature sets.
The customer will have to purchase an APNS certificate from Apple, in order to access all feature sets for IOS within the Junos Pulse MSS console. The cost is $299 for the enterprise to purchase the certificate.
