The dynamic flow capture process (dfcd) could not allocate memory for linh message.
The problem related to this syslog message is described in the following sections:
An error similar to the following is reported:
DFCD_LINH_MALLOC_FAILED, LOG_ERR, "GENCFG mem alloc failed !!!
Dynamic flow capture enables you to capture packet flows on the basis of dynamic filtering criteria. Specifically, you can use this feature to forward passively monitored packet flows that match a particular filter list to one or more destinations using an on-demand control protocol. The dynamic flow capture process (dfcd) could not allocate memory for lawful intercept next hop (linh) message. The Lawful Intercept Manager module is a key component of the dynamic flow capture process. This message is triggered if the linh cannot be written to the kernel.
Examine the following output to help determine the cause of this message:
show log messages show log dfcd show log dfcd_sdb.log show log chassisd
Look for any related events that occurred at or just before the CHASSISD_SMB_READ_FAILURE message.
Collect the rtsockmon output from the shell:
start shell user root rtsockmon -t (Hit Ctrl-C after 30 seconds. Note if routes are flying by) exit
This will give an idea of the communication between the Routing Engine and the kernal.
