The routing protocol process (rpd), which controls the routing protocols that run on the router, received a dynamic configuration request with an unexpected operation code. This system log message is no longer documented as of JunOS 9.5 and later. This only applies to the MX platform.

The RPD_DYN_CFG_BAD_REQ_OPCODE message is logged each time the routing protocol process receives a configuration request with an unexpected code value.
When a RPD_DYN_CFG_BAD_REQ_OPCODE event occurs, a message similar to the following is reported:
rpd: RPD_DYN_CFG_BAD_REQ_OPCODE: Received unexpected dynamic config opcode <operation-code>
The cause of this message may be due to either a corrupted internal table or a software problem.
Examine the following output to help determine the cause of this message:
show log messages show log rdd
Look for any related events that occurred at or just before the RPD_DYN_CFG_BAD_REQ_OPCODE message. For example, there may be memory errors reported.
