LIBJNX_DEFAULT_IP_ADDR_NOT_SET

A Junos process could not retrieve the system default IP address from the kernel, because the address is not defined there.

Messages will appear in the log messages file:

LIBJNX_DEFAULT_IP_ADDR_NOT_SET: Unable to retrieve system default IP address: not set in kernel (<error-message>)

This is a critical failure, and may cause failure of traffic in the router.

An internal software failure occurred. This error message is not expected to appear under normal circumstances.

Examine the following output to help determine the cause of this message:

show log messages

Look for any related events that occurred at or just before the LIBJNX_DEFAULT_IP_ADDR_NOT_SET message.
