The remote client closed the connection when data was expected. This is relevant only to GGSN (Gateway GPRS Support Node), and only applies to M, MX and T series routers.
The problem related to this syslog message is described in the following sections:
The SERVICED_CONNECTION_ERROR message is logged each time the remote closed a connection instead of sending data.
When a SERVICED_CONNECTION_ERROR event occurs, a message similar to the following is reported:
serviced[3183]: SERVICED_CONNECTION_ERROR: picd_sock_read_cb: read failed: Unknown error: 0 serviced[68665]: SERVICED_CONNECTION_ERROR: picd_sock_read_cb: read failed on fd 16 (context 0x8310000, con 0x8319180): Unknown error: 0
The cause is due to an internal error.
Examine the following output to help determine the cause of this message:
show log messages show log spd show system core-dumps
Look for any related events that occurred at or just before the SERVICED_CONNECTION_ERROR message. For example, there may have been a core dump file generated.
Check the system core-dumps output to see if there was a core file generated. If so, a case with your technical support representative will need to be opened and the core file will need to be uploaded to the Juniper FTP site under that case for analysis.
