An I/O (Input/Output) error caused the termination of a connection with an interface client. This is relevant only to GGSN (Gateway GPRS Support Node), and only applies to M, MX and T series routers.
The SERVICED_CLIENT_ERROR message is logged each time an interface client connection is terminated.
When a SERVICED_CLIENT_ERROR event occurs, a message similar to the following is reported:
serviced[1310]: SERVICED_CLIENT_ERROR: work_mspwork_failed_cb: client gc-1/2/0 connection failure: Undefined error: 0 (0)
The cause is due to an internal error, such as in the following:
- Page fault
- Internal table full
- Process core dumped
Examine the following output to help determine the cause of this message:
show log messages show log spd show system core-dumps
Look for any related events that occurred at or just before the SERVICED_CLIENT_ERROR message. For example, there may have been a page fault or an internal table is full.
Perform these steps:
- During a maintenance window, as it will impact transit traffic, try restarting the serviced process. For more information on restarting a process, refer to Restart a Junos Software Process.
- If the failure messages continue, open a case with your technical support representative to investigate the issue further.
