1.What is required to run the Junos Pulse application on my Apple iOS device?
Junos Pulse on Apple iOS requires iOS 4.1 and a network connection. It also requires that your SSL VPN gateway be ready for Junos Pulse on Apple iOS.
2.Will Junos Pulse work on my iPhone, iPod, iPad?
Junos Pulse on Apple iOS should work with an iOS device running iOS 4.1.
3.Will my company’s SSL VPN gateway work with Junos Pulse on Apple iOS?
You will need to contact your Helpdesk or your corporate IT department for that information.
4.Will Junos Pulse work with an SRX device?
Currently Junos Pulse on Apple iOS does not support Dynamic VPN to an SRX device. It only supports VPN to a Juniper Networks SSL VPN gateway.
5.How do I get Junos Pulse on Apple iOS?
Junos Pulse is available in the Apple App Store for download.
6.Will Junos Pulse work over 3G / WIFI?
Yes, Junos Pulse can work over 3G or WiFi
7.Does Junos Pulse support tethering?
The tethering feature in Apple iOS 4.1 does not work in conjunction with the VPN system on Apple iOS 4.1. All traffic from the tethered device will be sent directly to the Internet and will not be sent through any VPN connection. If you are tethering a device to your Apple iOS device, then you will need to run VPN software on the tethered device to secure the traffic generated by the tethered device. As an example, if you were using an Apple iOS 4.1 device to provide Internet access for a PC via tethering, you would need to run Network Connect or Junos Pulse for Desktops on that PC in order to secure network traffic generated by that PC.
8.When I try to login to my SSL VPN via Junos Pulse, it doesn’t seem to look right on the screen, what’s wrong?
Your IT department may need to make some adjustments to your SSL VPN gateway in order for it to work correctly with Junos Pulse on Apple iOS. SSL VPN administrators should reference the Junos Pulse admin guide for further details.
9.My Junos Pulse on Apple iOS is not working or is unable to connect. Who do I contact to get assistance?
Each SSL VPN gateway customer is responsible for their own support. Please contact your Helpdesk or corporate IT department. Presumably hardware support is provided according to the terms of your agreement with either Apple or your equipment provider.
10.What information should I provide to my Helpdesk or corporate IT department so they can assist me with my issue?
Junos Pulse on Apple iOS 4 has the ability to email its log files. You will need network access and a configured email account in order to be able to send the logs to your Helpdesk or corporate IT department.
11.Can I call or email Juniper Networks for any questions or problems I have with Junos Pulse on my iOS device?
