This article describes the issue of the commit confirmed command not being supported in a HA (cluster) environment, until Junos 11.4 or later.
The following error is generated when the commit confirmed command is run on a cluster device:
{primary:node1}[edit]
root@hub# commit confirmed
error: commit confirmed not supported for private configuration
As of Junos 11.4 or later, this command is supported:
{primary:node0}[edit]
root@srx-0# commit confirmed
node0:
configuration check succeeds
commit confirmed will be automatically rolled back in 10 minutes unless confirmed
node1:
commit complete
commit confirmed will be automatically rolled back in 10 minutes unless confirmed
node0:
commit complete
So, to gain access to this feature, upgrade to Junos 11.4 or later.
