Unable to launch or install the Junos Pulse client on a Windows 7 PC due to an incompatibility message

This article describes an issue regarding the launch or installation of the Junos Pulse client on a Windows 7 PC. An incompatibility message is generated on an attempt to install or launch; the solution is to make sure that the user home and OS are on the same partition.

Certain Windows 7 PC users experience an issue in launching the Junos Pulse client, either when directly installing the Junos Pulse client from the SA/IC device or when using the Junos Pulse installer (manual installation).

When launching Junos Pulse from the browser, the following error message is generated:

Verify that the user home and OS are on the same partition.
If they are not, please upgrade to Pulse 3.1R2 (or later) or Pulse 3.0R5 (or later)
