The RPD_DYN_CFG_SDB_CLOSE_FAILED message is reported to the system message file whenever the routing protocol process (rpd) attempts to close the session database and fails.
The dynamic session database is used in subscriber access management. However, dynamic profiles for use with PPP client access can be defined for MX-series routers, or the M120 and M320 systems. Therefore any of these systems can use the session database.
The RPD_DYN_CFG_SDB_CLOSE_FAILED message is logged each time the rpd process attempts to close the session database and fails.
When the RPD_DYN_CFG_SDB_CLOSE_FAILED event occurs, a message similar to the following is reported:
RPD_DYN_CFG_SDB_CLOSE_FAILED: Failed to close session database: <error-message>
Some example messages:
RPD_DYN_CFG_SDB_CLOSE_FAILED: Failed to close session database: -1
The message includes the error code from the close failure.
The cause is likely due to a software issue within the rpd process or may be due to another event on the router.
Examine the following output to help determine the cause of this message:

Look for any related events that occurred at or just before the RPD_DYN_CFG_SDB_CLOSE_FAILED message. See if any other events may have caused this message, such as a commit. If so, the failure to close the session database may be due to that one type of event occurring.
