CHASSISD_FPC_PIC_DETECT_TIMEOUT

The chassis process (chassisd) expects to receive notification within a timeout period that each Flexible PIC Concentrator (FPC) has attached the Physical Interface Cards (PICs) that it houses. It did not receive notification from the indicated FPC.

The problem related to this syslog message is described in the following sections:

The CHASSISD_FPC_PIC_DETECT_TIMEOUT message is logged each time that the chassis process fails to receive notice that the PICs are attached within the timeout period.

When the chassis process fails to receive notice that the PICs are attached within the timeout period, the system will log a syslog message beginning with “CHASSISD_FPC_PIC_DETECT_TIMEOUT”

The cause may be due to an internal software error.

Examine the following output to help determine the cause of this message:

Look for any related events that occurred at or just before the CHASSISD_FPC_PIC_DETECT_TIMEOUT message.
